Then the individual who I did talk to was great at easily setting up an account for me and answering questions.

When I made the purchase, the customer service never said that I had to sign a one-year contract. They only said that I could purchase on a monthly basis. When I cancelled it after 6 months, they charged a considerable penalty. very angry！
