APOLLO Launches Automated Additional Insured Coverage for Property Manager Partners

April 08, 2026 — APOLLO Insurance Solutions Ltd., one of Canada’s leading digital insurance providers, has launched a new feature for enterprise partners that automatically adds property managers as an Additional Insured on tenant insurance policies. 

This enhancement provides property managers and landlords with an added layer of protection in the event of a liability claim involving both the tenant and property manager. By being included as an Additional Insured on the tenant’s policy, property managers can be protected under that policy—without requiring changes to their own insurance. 

This feature is fully automated and applied at the point of purchase for all new tenant insurance policies within participating properties. 

“Most property managers already require tenant insurance as part of the lease agreement, and many are now requiring Additional Insured status as well,” said Jeff McCann, CEO at APOLLO. “By automatically extending coverage to our partners through their tenants’ policies, we’re making it easier to reduce risk exposure without adding cost or operational complexity.”

Traditionally, being added as an Additional Insured has required manual coordination, leading to inconsistencies across properties and portfolios. APOLLO’s approach embeds this protection directly into the tenant insurance purchase flow, ensuring it is applied automatically and consistently.

Any tenant who purchases a policy within a participating property will have the property manager named as an Additional Insured on the liability coverage, helping standardize protection across buildings.
