APOLLO Introduces Free Address Changes for Renters on the Move

May 21, 2026 — APOLLO Insurance Agency (APOLLO), one of Canada's leading digital insurance providers, has introduced a new feature that allows tenants to update their address on an existing policy when moving anywhere within Canada, at no additional cost.

Updating an address with an insurance provider has traditionally meant recalculated premiums, new underwriting questions, and added complexity at an already busy time. APOLLO has simplified this: tenants moving within Canada can now update their address directly through their online policy portal, with no changes to their premium, just a straightforward update.

"Renters move more often than any other segment of the market, and the insurance process shouldn't make that harder," said Marco Andolfatto, Chief Underwriting Officer at APOLLO. "We've removed the administrative burden that typically comes with an address change so tenants can stay focused on their move, not their insurance."

The free address change applies to moves anywhere within Canada. Tenants moving between provinces will keep the same premium, though minor adjustments may apply to reflect differences in provincial tax rates. 

For tenants enrolled in APOLLO+, the renewal rate will be preserved following an address change, ensuring continuity of pricing regardless of where the move takes them.

The feature is available now through APOLLO's self-serve online portal, where tenants can log in, enter their new address and move-in date, and complete the change in minutes.
