The Director, People & Culture will be responsible for supporting all aspects of APOLLO’s people strategy which ranges from company culture for our office, work from home and remote employees across Canada. Leveraging our internal teams, you will be accountable for organizational effectiveness, change management, talent acquisition, talent management, compliance, compensation, oversight of payroll conducted through an outsourced provider, benefits and all other aspects of human resources.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth and cost effective management of the company’s human resources function
  • Oversee implementation of policies and procedures, safety of the workforce, recruiting and hiring high-performing employees, legislative and other human resources issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and local laws and industry regulations

Broker Engagement Manager

The VP Finance will be responsible for supporting all aspects of APOLLO’’s finance strategic objectives. You will be accountable for timely and accurate financial statements, budget and forecast processes, coaching and support to business unit leaders in their decision making and financial planning, supporting Board reporting and related processes as well as creating new processes to support the growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Leadership Team on matters regarding policy, internal controls, and analysis of financial operations of the business.

As the Business Development Manager responsible for driving new broker partners to the APOLLO portal, you will play a pivotal role in the process of educating broker partners on the role of APOLLO while helping to build our brand. Through various outreach and sales forward campaigns the focus of the role is to have new brokerages and unregistered individual brokers to reach their optimal potential use of the APOLLO broker portal. We want to help brokers to achieve their sales objectives utilizing the Exchange.

The Underwriting Services Specialist provides support to underwriting operations and broker success teams. Coordinates and provides general support to underwriting in the processing of non-automated transactions, including but not limited to endorsements, and cancellations.
Supports activities related to the maintenance of contracts/facilities with our insurer partners including, but not limited to Bordereaux and special underwriter referrals.

 

As the Underwriting Services Specialist, your core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients at the external facing, Broker Success Team, and Underwriting operations level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others
in their efforts to deliver on our promise. In other words, you are helping us achieve excellent underwriting services for our customers and assisting our efforts to develop new products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting External (broker/customer) facing units (Broker Success, Programs, and launch-pad teams) with:
  • Coverage/Underwriting expertise – transfer of knowledge;
  • Policy maintenance/change such as Endorsements, Cancellations

(including registered letters), and Premium related endorsements
(including COC extensions);

  • As required, reviewing specific risks and assessing/determine their

suitability for program;

  • Monthly payable tracking and cancellation for non-payment;
  • Responsible for executing on our Bonds program;
  • Supporting the underwriting/product development team with the following:
  • Bordereau reporting including, but not limited to, triaging any questions that may come from the carrier review;
  • Assisting in the implementation of new products onto the Apollo

Marketplace platform;

  • Individual risk referrals on submissions falling outside of granted authority to supporting markets, including but not limited to Lloyds and domestic carriers;
  • Support on implementing program changes and/or modification to

underwriting requirements;

  • Support with internal and external audits and any implementation

of procedures to meet underwriting and regulatory requirements ;

  • Provide support regarding the proper filing of the policy in One View. (according to current file audit requirements).
  • Provide a high level of customer service by timely response to internal (and occasionally external) requests and deadlines.
  • Exhibit thorough working knowledge of sound underwriting principles, policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations as required.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements
