Chief Executive Officer
Jeff believes in the broker channel. Getting ahead of the insurtech revolution, he co-founded Apollo to provide Canadian brokers with product, technology, and digital marketing enablement. He carries the vision of an industry where computers do the work so people can build relationships. With a background as a broker and strong insurance industry fundamentals, Jeff empowers producers and brokerages to reach their digital potential.
Jeff was Insurance Broker Magazine Top 10 Under 40, and recipient of the Insurance Business Magazine Young Guns Award in 2018. He writes professionally for several publications including the Edmonton Journal, Vancouver Sun and The Province.
Head of Engineering
With 20 years of experience developing software and managing large development teams, Justin has seen and done it all. He is proficient with all aspects of product development, from UX, design, and front-end development to backend API development, DevOps, and QA. Justin has worked on beacon and location tracking systems, CES award winning robots, market research chat bot software, and websites for one of the largest international video game brands.
At Apollo, Justin leads our development team and is responsible for establishing our technical vision, scalable platform architecture, security, and data integrity.
Head of Marketing & PR
Content is king. David is an award winning journalist with experience as editor and reporter in national publications. After supporting print media organizations in their transition to digital, he was headhunted
to apply his skills in insurance. He has successfully structured content optimization and lead generation strategies for a large insurance brokerage group, achieving first page ranking on hundreds of relevant keywords that drive large amounts of targeted traffic. He has experience developing tone and messaging for brands created to target specific industry verticals. At ApolloXE David supports producers by downloading their expertise into valuable content like whitepapers and blog articles, combined
with distributing it to prospects, clients, and association members.
He continues his journalism career as a writer for publications such as the Vancouver Sun, National Post, and others, and is also a licensed insurance broker.
Chief Financial Officer
Operating at the nexus of business and innovation, Imran works with innovative and forward looking businesses to develop and scale financial and non-financial reporting environments. As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Imran leads the reporting, tax and financial governance processes at Apollo.
In addition to working with start-ups and early stage companies, Imran established financial reporting, tax, compliance and due diligence procedures at a new venture capital fund. Imran is also a sessional instructor at the British Columbia Institute for Technology and the CPA Professional Education Program.
Business Development Manager
An insurance professional who has roots in underwriting, Josh spent several years managing a portfolio of complex global risks at one of North America’s largest property and casualty insurers. With experience in both Canadian and US markets, he has a passion for creating custom-tailored insurance solutions for Apollo’s broker partners, ranging from small to medium enterprise to large corporate programs.
He has always been committed to technology-driven innovation, and when he met Jeff he instantly knew Apollo was destined to help the industry reach its full potential.
Business Development Manager
Sharon has gained extensive insurance industry knowledge from more than 10 years of experience in operations, marketing, finance, and sales within the insurance industry.
Thanks to her most recent experience at the largest premium finance company in North America, Sharon has worked closely with MGAs and Brokers from coast to coast. Sharon’s vast experience has provided her with a well-rounded perspective on the challenges the broker channel faces. In her role as Business Development Manager, Sharon combines her insurance expertise, digital marketing, and communication skills to assist brokers who want to capitalize on the future opportunities that online can bring.
Head of Broker Distribution
Margo developed strong underwriting principles at one of Canada’s largest MGAs. Bringing her experience to Apollo as Head of Broker Engagement, she applies her expertise to help brokers enhance their digital offerings.
Along with the rest of the team, Margo recognizes the opportunities for the insurance industry when brokers are empowered to compete on a new frontier. By developing new products, answering product specific questions and offering feedback and support, Margo helps the broker achieve the success they envision.
Broker Success Manager
Julie brings a dynamic background in insurance and event planning to the Apollo team. She values the dedication it takes to be successful in the digital world, and brings enthusiasm and integrity to support and empower brokers to cultivate their success.
As the Broker Engagement Manager, Julie establishes and solidifies the feedback loop with brokers partners to foster a winning mentality. She is an asset to any broker, providing support and training, building and managing relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth.
Lead Software Developer
Corey is a full stack developer with a passion for writing beautiful code. Coming from a background in the high volume world of AdTech, he has a history of building projects designed to scale and loves turning business ideas into working products.
Along with the rest of the team, Corey sees big potential in innovating the Canadian insurance landscape through technology, and is excited to play a key role in developing the future of InsurTech.
After spending time designing marketing and sales material for print, Jenny decided to bring her skills to the web. With more tools under her belt, she now has a limitless outlet to express her active imagination in designing interactive interfaces.
At Apollo, Jenny supports the team as a junior full stack developer. Her main responsibility is to improve user experience by translating complex ideas into simple and elegant solutions. She constantly advocates for the users and seeks out opportunities to improve the platform. Buying insurance should be quick and simple. Apollo is proving that it can be!

Insurance broker with 100% year over year book growth and achieved highest national score on Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker license exam in 2015.
As a serial entrepreneur Jack founded Diversified Education Group (online K-12 tutorials and insurance licensing courses) and OpenHQ (pop-up coworking spaces). He also is an experienced insurance content developer for Insuranceopedia.com.
Peggy Liu is a freelance writer, content writer, and editor. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in English Literature, where she was also a mental health columnist for the student newspaper. When she isn’t digging her way to the bottom of a peanut butter jar or petting friendly dogs around Vancouver, she can be found sitting in cafes with a notebook and a cup of coffee.
